PLEDO attended the EdCamp SEMissouri UNconference at Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on November 3, 2018.
EdCamp SEMissouri is an educational conference where educators and school officials in Southeast Missouri area come together and develop innovative professionalism and share knowledge.
A number of educators and school officials from the surrounding cities in Cape Girardeau, including professors from Southeast Missouri State University’s College of Education, attended EdCamp SEMissouri. Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a public university located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri near the Mississippi river. It is an above-average university that started with a traditional strength in teacher education. The College of Education has been working hard to be technologically considerate for their students as many will be working in a Smart classroom. The College of Education celebrated becoming an Apple Distinguished School in February of 2018.
PLEDO engaged in in-depth and high quality discussions on many different topics and introduced Pixio, a robot cameraman with auto-tracking and zooming in and out. This advanced and brand-new camera robot has created a lot of interest from many educators.
